Neoprene fabric is a multi-structure material. We usually paste other different fabrics with glue on one side or double sides to meet market requests, like Nylon, Lycra, Jersey, Terry, Polyester, Cotton, Velvet, Non-woven etc.
The regular specification for neoprene is 51*83 inches or 50*130 inches in the market, usually black or beige. The first step for neoprene production is foaming. It is about 18~45mm thickness and very smooth on two sides like a sponge bed. We call it smooth skin. It can be embossed to be better against slip. There can be different lines on the smooth skin, like shark skin, fine skin, T skin etc. Then the sponge bed will be cut into pieces to be open cell with the thickness vary from 1~45 mm. Usually we paste on the open cell with Lycra, Jersey, Terry, Nylon, Polyester to meet different demands. The pasted fabric can be colored according to customers’ requests.
Neoprene（SBR CR）: 1.Physical Performance: Neoprene owns a good performance of anti-extrusion and resilience. It has such a good memory that the material will not be marked no matter how you bend or knead. Besides, as synthetic rubber, it also has a good performance for shock-protection, adhesion and sealability. So neoprene has been widely used to make phone case, insulation bottle sets, bag covers, mouse pads, Popsicle sleeves, sports wear equipment etc, which makes them soft and anti-slip.
2.Chemical Performance：The double bond and chlorine atoms in the molecular structure of chloroprene rubber are not active enough. And it’s difficult to have chemical reactions with others. So it is commonly applied to products with high chemical-resistance requirements, which makes them not easy to be aged and cracked. The rubber structure is stable, non-toxic and it’s widely used in sports protection products and body sculpting wears. Meanwhile, the rubber has a good performance for flame retardant. It’s safe and reliable, which is often used for flame-retardant cables, fire-retardant hose, flame retardant conveyor belt, bridge bearing and other fire-resistant plastic parts. Besides, the rubber has a good function of water resistance and oil resistance. So it is also applied to oil and conveyor belt. As synthetic rubber, the price for it will be 20% higher than nature rubber.
3. Adaptability: Neoprene can survive various temperature vary -40℃~150℃ while the common rubber only can work in the environment from -20℃ to 100℃. So it is often used for cable protection cover, hose and seals for construction.
